Artists Statement

A greater part of my work outlined below has tried to embrace the notion of collective collaboration and participation. Learning and creating through shared experience with both urban and rural communities. With art as the catalyst a collective response to place or shared experience can be explored. The resulting artworks have included murals, paintings, mosaics, ceramics, digital graphics and printmaking. At the same time all these projects have consistently informed an active studio practice, often drawing on a flux of themes, reflections, colours, textures, experiences; observed and subsumed, resulting in abstract hybrids, either in paint, print or collage.
