SCULPTURE IN THE FOREST
Kingstudio is proud to host and launch the annual Southern Shoalhaven Escape Artfest with Sculpture in the Forest, now in its forth year.
Set on five wooded acres, Kingstudio's garden and gallery offers a wonderful venue for exhibiting sculpture, with wide expanses of lawn, secluded nooks and outdoor rooms, water features, meandering garden paths and natural bushland trails.
The three previous exhibitions proved a great success, with an exciting and eclectic mix of works by local and regional artists, in a broad range of materials.
Since our initial opening in 2005 the gallery has exhibited hundreds of works by more than 30 artists, with significant sales both during and following the festivals.
The garden remains open throughout the year as a sculpture venue, with a modest $5 per adult entrance fee.
We would like to extend an invitation to sculptors interested in contributing to this changing display to submit your proposal via email.
The 2008 Sculpture in the Forest exhibition aims to build on an established and growing reputation, show-casing the work of sculptors from the NSW South Coast region, as well as other guest artists from further afield. This years exhibition promises a fascinating survey of contemporary works in a garden setting.
To that end we invite entries for the 2008 Sculpture in The Forest exhibition, which will open on Saturday 20th September 2008.
This years festival theme is simply 'LAND'
To submit your proposal download the .pdf entry form and return by post or email with, images, artists brief CV or statement and pricing by the 31st August with the artists entry fee of $22. We look forward to your involvement.
